A young lady went out to a popular South Beach restaurant located on Ocean drive.  While eating there, a place struck her face below her eye.  (The restaurant closed years later.)

She didn’t know who threw the plate. After the plate hit her, she went to Mount Sinai Hospital for medical treatment.

While there, a doctor stitched up her cut.  

The good news?

Months after the accident, her cut was no longer visible. (That’s good news for her self esteem. However, the full value of the case was lower since the scar was not visible.) Many factors affect the value of a personal injury case. Often times, the extent of the injury is the biggest factor.

They paid the $13,500 settlement.  $1,000 of the settlement was from the insurance policy’s Medpay coverage.  I did not charge a fee on this $1,000 portion of the settlement.

See my case where I got a $210,000 settlement for man who had 2 surgeries to his wrist.  A man was eating at a Denny’s restaurant in North Miami Beach, Florida.  He was sitting in a booth. While attempting to exit the booth, it tipped in up. This sent him falling to floor.
