$11,500 Settlement for a mother who suffered personal injury when she was hit by a drunk driver

The Driver was found guilty of DUI by a criminal court. She went to the hospital in Miami shortly after the accident. The Emergency Room doctor diagnosed her with a neck sprain. He also diagnosed her as having a lumbar sprain along with a contusion of lower limb. The ER record stated that the location of her pain/injuries was her head, chest, back (upper mid and lower) and her left leg. Her severity of pain was listed as mild to moderate. She was wearing her seatbelt and the air bags in her car deployed. She received therapy from a chiropractor for months after the accident. She also saw a psychologist as she was extremely nervous following the accident. We have resolved a claim against the DUI driver for $10,000 which is his policy limit. We filed a claim against the passenger's underinsured motorist company for State Farm, and have received an offer of $1,000.00 to date, but we are seeking the full $25,000 which is potentially available under her policy. We also represent the driver, and we have a claim pending against both United Automobile Insurance Company and State Farm, who is the uninsured motorist's insurance company. The passenger (her husband) was also injured and he was very happy with the settlement that our law firm obtained for him.
