Florida Bicycle Accident Injury Settlements

$52,500 Settlement for a 24 year old bicycle/bike rider who was cut off by a car that failed to yield the right of way and hit him. He crashed into the car and landed on his back. He had a closed head injury but he did not lose consciousness. He also suffered compression fractures from T3-T5. He also had a small disc protrusion. The uninsured/underinsured motorist insurance company is USAA who settled the claim for $42,500. The insurance company for the driver of the car that caused the accident is United Automobile Insurance Company.

$10,000 Policy Limits Settlement against his own Uninsured Motorist Insurance Policy (GEICO) on behalf of a bicyclist who suffered personal injury when he was struck by a hit and run driver. Following the accident, the bike rider experienced pain in his arm and was confused. When the pain did not subside, he went to Physician's Associates, P.A. and saw Dr. Fox who took x-rays, was examined and evaluated him, and determined that the injured bicyclist was "totally disabled" due to a fracture of his right wrist and fracture of his left elbow. He then treated with a chiropractor for about 4 visits. We evaluated this claim at over $100,000, however this is yet another example of an injury victim who would have been entitled to about, an possibly at least $90,000 more dollars if he had higher uninsured motorist limits.
